BLM Sticker project

I created four different sticker designs to raise money to donate to Color of Change and Black Trans Travel Fund. In the midst of a pandemic, going to protests wasn’t always the best option for me. I decided to use my skills to help organizations and people that I cared about. Each of the four designs have unique variations to it, giving people many sticker options to choose from. (I actually also could not decide on a single version. But the more the merrier am I right?) I made a total of 15 sticker variations, all personally hand-cut by me and a friend.

In the end, I was able to raise $2600!

It’s thanks to the many people who purchased my stickers and wanted to help me support the Black community through my art. I truly appreciate it and could not do it without everyone’s support ♡

Continue to practice your solidarity for the Black community, and stay informed!

character card

Art and design is important to me so centered this design around amplifying Black voices and creatives. I wanted to do something reminiscent of a trading card with different characters, each with unique outfits and nuances. The characters are modeled after my friends and I!

Panther

I used the chants that are commonly used during BLM protests and wanted to emphasize women in the chants. Black women are often overlooked and deserve to have their names and stories heard. This design is inspired by American traditional tattoo style of big cats like panthers and tigers. Although it’s not exactly in the style of American traditional coloring, it is popular to do panther heads in that style.

Defund the police

The following two designs (Defund the Police and FTP) are made in retaliation of the police departments that contribute to the systemic racism and oppression against the Black community.

ftp

Pretty self explanatory.
